A Mississippi native, Anna began taking lessons at the Vicksburg Conservatory of the Fine Arts not long after the organization's inception in 2006. From elementary through high school, she continued training there under Tammy Luke, gaining experience in classical and folk styles alike.

Afterwards, she attended college at Belhaven University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. She has been part of various ensembles over the years, including the First Baptist Church of Jackson Orchestra, the Vicksburg Orchestral Society, and a small bluegrass group called Deer Creek Strings.

She loves working with children and can usually be found on Sunday mornings playing in the worship service at Mt. Buria Church in Cary.
