While teaching elementary school music, Mrs. Reel wrote and directed numerous programs, including The Leader In Me Leadership Days and Black History Month programs. During her time at Bovina, Mrs. Reel had the pleasure of directing the honor choir.

Mrs. Reel has taught at the Conservatory of the Fine Arts over the course of eight years. She has performed in numerous musicals, choirs, recitals, and is a regular soprano soloist in her church choir. Some of her favorite roles have been Mary in Mary Poppins, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Lucy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Marian in The Music Man, to name a few. Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing students’ confidence and love for musical performance grow.

Mrs. Reel enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew, their son, Luke Thomas, and their English bulldog, June!
